Once a Disney vacation is over and Guests return home, they often want to bring a little Disney magic back with them. There are plenty of souvenirs available on Walt Disney World property, but many of them have the potential to be easily forgotten once everything is unpacked and stashed away. One of the more worthwhile souvenirs, though, that can be practically used and brings plenty of Disney fun to your day, is the Walt Disney World Official Album.

BlakeOnline Spring Preview

Lots of fun awaits in spring 2010!

By Blake

Since the weather is beginning to show hints of warm air and the flowers are starting to bloom, I thought that I’d join in the springtime cheerfulness by giving an exclusive look of what’s in store for BlakeOnline this spring. There are new series, exciting reviews, and a surprise special all coming up! Here are some details:

First of all, I’m not even going to try to cover it up—I’ve gotten behind in my review writing. Way behind. There are several DVD’s that I meant to review months ago that I still haven’t gotten around to yet. I apologize for not writing them quicker, but rest assured you’ll be seeing them here soon enough. This spring, BlakeOnline is planning to be host to a variety of in-depth reviews, and not just for movies. Book reviews are planned for several great Disney titles, as are looks at both official and unofficial Disney publications, plus an all-new series showcasing music reviews.

Next up, a brand-new article series will debut to help you implement Disney fun at home while you’re not enjoying a Disney vacation. Family activities, touring Disney shows, overlooked movies, and more will be spotlighted in this fun series entitled “Everyday Enchantment.”

As far as the Disney Detours articles are concerned, expect to see more frequent in-depth looks at Disney vacation planning. This category will be branching out to not only include Walt Disney World planning, but Disney Cruise Line, as well.

Lastly, I’m very excited to announce the arrival of two slightly new series. Why are they only slightly new? Because they used to fall under the umbrella of BlakeOnline Specials, though now I’ve decided to give them their very own category. The first is the Devotions section, showcasing inspirational spiritual columns. The other is Playtime, an area specifically for articles where I get a little creative and share my thoughts for Disney-related rides and projects. I’m pleased to announce that this May, Playtime will host a two-part special article, the details of which will be announced in the coming weeks.

And looking even further ahead into the summer, there’s always the Bullseye Awards and the Imagineering Blue Sky Session to look forward to!

I hope that you’ll join me as I delve into the many different components of the Walt Disney Company this spring. The focus this season is all about celebrating fun; I can’t wait for you to be part of the celebration.

She’s late. And she’s having a bit of an identity crisis. Alice Kingsley is quite a troubled young adult. After fleeing her surprise engagement party and re-entering the land of her dreams via following the elusive white rabbit, Alice doesn’t exactly know what to make of her odd predicament, let alone the rest of her life. She’s a not-so-typical teenager struggling with typical teenage issues—acceptance, wanting to please family, and batting around career decisions. If it were up to her, she would leave all of her troubles behind and escape to a world all her own. And that’s exactly what she does.

The "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day" program comes to a close as one million people sign up to volunteer.

Today Disney Parks announced that their "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day" initiative is officially concluded.  The initial goal was to inspire one million people to volunteer for one day through a select organization in exchange for a free one-day ticket to a Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme park.  After announcing the promotion in late September, 600,000 people signed up to participate by mid-February and now Disney has impressively reached its target in a mere ten weeks.
